Zim Solar System

An ongoing goal of Zim Full STEAM is to create a scale model of the solar system, with to-scale sizes and distances to the planets and dwarf planets. The solar system will fit within the borders of Zimbabwe and will become the second largest scale model solar system in the world. 

Zim Full STEAM members and students from other participating schools are encouraged to 'adopt' a planet and build an aesthetic and weather-resistant model of the planet using a variety of materials. Those planets will placed at appropriate distances on school grounds, within parks, and on mountaintops.
